5. “Turkey’s Most Influential Supply Chain Professionals” Gala Dinner

With the collaboration of Slimstock and Logistics Association (LODER), the 5th “Turkey’s Most Influential Supply Chain Professionals” award ceremony was hosted important names of the business world.

“Turkey’s Most Influential Supply Chain Professionals” list was announced last night at the Wyndham Hotel Kalamış with a gala dinner. Founders and executives of globally known companies such as Assan Aliminyum, LG Electronics, Oyak Renault, Toyota Turkey, McDonald’s, Merck, Netaş, Bosch, Ford Otosan, Arcelik, Vakko, were among them.

General Manager of Slimstock Turkey Songül SEZER, made the opening speech of award night. On the other hand, the event was moderated by LODER Chairman of the Board Prof. Dr. Mehmet Tanyaş and LODER Vice Chairman of the Board Prof. Dr. Gülçin Büyüközkan.

General Manager of Slimstock Turkey Songül SEZER said that 20% more companies apply for the awards each year. Songül Sezer mentioned that digitalization is inevitable for every player in the Supply Chain and she added: “Thanks to all participating companies and their representatives, “Turkey’s Most Influential Supply Chain Professionals”  list is expected with a huge excitement each year. It shows that we are on the right track in Turkey. Companies were not able to find enough platforms to share their projects in the field of Supply Chain until now. All these projects were excited to be announced in front of the press, both locally and globally. This situation motivates us to do further.”

Keynote speaker of the awards night, Deloitte Turkey Digital Services Partner Hakan GÖL, shared his experience and knowledge with his presentation “Analytical Supply Chain Management in the Digitalized World”.

Hakan Göl shared information about how the notion of technology became mainstream, the pace of digitalization in the world and digitalizing sectors, the future of innovation, successful analytical applications in the Supply Chain sector, artificial intelligence, and cognitive technologies.

Project Awards Found Their Owners

The candidates in the list “Turkey’s Most Influential Supply Chain Professionals” competed in the “Most Sustainable”, “Most Technological”, “Most Innovative” and “Most Effİcient/Effective” categories with their projects.

Project competition awards found their owners with the votes of Supply Chain industry professionals and the jury. FLO Operational Excellence Manager Ahmet Özaslan won the award in the “Most Sustainable” project category. The “Most Technological” project award went to OYAK Renault Operational Logistics Director Sibel Bayat, and the “Most Innovative” project award went to Assan Aluminum Supply Chain Director Semih Adakçı. Senior Manager of Toyota Turkey Selim Demir won “The most Efficient/Effective” project award. Prof. Dr. Gülçin Büyüközkan who gives the awards at the end of the night said the following words: “The results of this year were very close.”

“International Slimstock Supply Chain Game” was also given as a gift to the project winners with their awards by Slimstock Turkey General Manager Songül Sezer.
